What an uproar over creationism. As far as I can tell Professor Michael Reiss doesn't even believe in creation. He only makes this comment, "They should take the time to explain how science works and why creationism has no scientific basis."
He is not advocating teaching of creationism, just what to do if a pupil brings it up.
Talk about paranoid fear from The Royal Society.

You can hear a little of his speech here. It seems to me that he is stating what the teacher should do to have a creationist student come to believe in evolution.
