Isaiah 7:14 MKJV So, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel.
King Ahaz of Judah was given a promise of deliverance. God challenged Ahaz to ask for a sign, but Ahaz refused, so God Himself gave it. The promised Messiah would be God-with-us. God’s desire is fellowship with us. Fellowship was lost because we sin. Fellowship was restored by the redeemer. God didn’t need to do this; He wanted to. Be thankful for Messiah, God-with-us.
