Preface
There
are many other pamphlets and courses for new Christians that are much
better than this, but perhaps this might help, encourage, stimulate,
and ground someone in the faith. That is my only intent. This copy is

B3 Study the material. Look up
the Bible verse to know the context. You might want to look up the
topic in Torrey's
New Topical Textbook
. If you go to the link, look up the topic (the first one is God).
Hover over the verse and the reference will be readable. You can also
find more themes of these topics from Manser’s

D1 Acts 5:3-4 NKJV But
Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to
the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for
yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it
was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this
thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.
D2 Acts 13:2 NKJV As
they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now
separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called
them.
D3 1 Corinthians 2:13 NKJV
These things we also
speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy
Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
C9 Statement 9: I
believe in the holy Christian church: the communion of saints:
E1 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 NKJV
For as the body is
one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being
many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or
free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact
the body is not one member but many.
E2 Romans 12:4-5 NKJV For
as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have
the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members of one another.
E1 1 John 1:3 NKJV that
which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may
have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father
and with His Son Jesus Christ.
E2 John 14:23 NKJV Jesus
answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My
word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make
Our home with him.
E3 1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV God
is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
C10 Statement 10: The
forgiveness of sins:
(further
study
you might want to scroll down. Also see here)
D1 Ephesians 1:7 NKJV In
Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace
D2 Hebrews 10:17-18 NIV Then
he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer
necessary.
D1 1 Corinthians 15:12-13 NIV
But if it is
preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of
you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no
resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.
D2 Romans 6:5 NKJV For
if we have been united together in the likeness of His death,
certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.
D3 John 5:28-29 NKJV Do
not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in
the graves will hear His voice "and come forth--those who have
done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil,
to the resurrection of condemnation.
D1 John 6:40 NRSV This
is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe
in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last
day.
D2 John 3:36 NRSV Whoever
believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever disobeys the Son will
not see life, but must endure God's wrath.
