Some facts about heaven

B1 God lives and rules in heaven and from heaven.

C1 2 Chronicles 20:6 NET He prayed: "O LORD God of our ancestors, you are the God who lives in heaven and rules over all the kingdoms of the nations. You possess strength and power; no one can stand against you.

C2 Matthew 6:10 NLT May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

B2 Heaven is not in this universe.

C1 Acts 7:55-56 NET But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently toward heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. "Look!" he said. "I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

C2 2 Corinthians 12:1-2 NET It is necessary to go on boasting. Though it is not profitable, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven.

B3 Heaven and God

• He lives there.
• He rules there.
• His throne is there.
• He can see earth from there.
• Jesus descended from heaven, then ascended into heaven.
• Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven.
• Jesus will come back from heaven.

B4 Heaven and activities

• There God is worshiped.
• There the holy angels and the believers live.
• There God's will is done perfectly.
• There we will serve Him.
• There all is safe and secure.
• There is an inheritance.
• There will be rewards there for His people.
• There we will have a new body.

B4 There is no more pain, suffering, abuse, night, persecution, worry, heartbrokenness, depression, sickness, tears of sorrow, death, temptation, war, false gods, blasphemy, dishonor, suspicion, murder, sexual sins, stealing, courteousness, rebellion, fear, anxiety, hunger, insomnia, etc.

B5 There will be joy, love, fellowship, comfort, rest, light, peace, grace, happiness, justice, guidance, wisdom, hope, life, etc.
