The Hebrew word is
חֶסֶד cheçed.
It means goodness, kindness, faithfulness. This is the way He is. He
does not deviate from it. All God’s doings and decisions are based
on love and wisdom.

Bible verse
G1
Nehemiah 9:17 NASB They
refused to listen, And did not remember Your wondrous deeds which You
had performed among them; So they became stubborn and appointed a
leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But You are a God of
forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger and abounding
in lovingkindness; And You did not forsake them.
G2
Romans 2:4 CSB Or do
you despise the riches of his kindness, restraint, and patience, not
recognizing that God's kindness is intended to lead you to
repentance?
G3
Compare: Ephesians 4:31-32 CSB Let all bitterness, anger and
wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all
malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one
another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
G4
God is even kind to His enemies with hopes that they will repent.
Judgment will still happen to them, if they do not repent: Luke 6:35
CSB But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting
nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be
children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and
evil.

Example
G1
From the Expositor’s Bible on Psalm 130:3-4: The
word rendered “forgiveness” is a late form, being found only in
two other late passages (Nehemiah 9:17; Daniel 9:9). It literally
means cutting off, and so suggests the merciful surgery by which the
cancerous tumour is taken out of the soul. (Forgiveness is an act of
kindness).
G2
Genesis 24:27 NIV saying,
"Praise be to the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has
not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master
[Abraham—editor]. As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to
the house of my master's relatives."

Longsuffering

Definition
G1
English having or showing patience in spite of troubles, especially
those caused by other people. (Source)
G2
A Hebrew word is
אָרֵךְ
ʼârêk.
It means long as long-feathered, so in application, it has the idea
of longsuffering, slow (to anger), patience, etc.
H1
Nehemiah 9:17 CSB They
refused to listen and did not remember your wonders you performed
among them. They became stiff-necked and appointed a leader to return
to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and
compassionate, slow
to anger and
abounding in faithful love, and you did not abandon them.
[Emphasis is mine].
H2
When applied to God, this verse becomes awesome. When applied to
humans, it is a great blessing. Proverbs 16:32 NRSV One
who is slow
to anger is
better than the mighty, and one whose temper is controlled than one
who captures a city.
[Emphasis is mine].
H3
One of God’s purposes for being longsuffering and slow to anger, is
for people to repent and put their trust in God. Jonah 4:2 NIV He
prayed to the LORD, "Isn't this what I said, LORD, when I was
still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to
Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow
to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending
calamity.
H1
An example: Matthew 18:25-26 NIV Since
he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and
his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. "At
this the servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,'
he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.'
H2
An important component of love: 1 Corinthians 13:4 WEL Love
is very patient and kind; love is not envious; love doesn’t brag
about itself, is not haughty,
H3
God’s longsuffering is why He waits and keeps wooing those who have
not trusted in His son Jesus: 2 Peter 3:9 CSB The
Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is
patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to
repentance.
F2
God’s longsuffering is evidently relating to His love.
